MIDDOT / CHESED COMMITTEE
The Middot/ Chesed Committee seeks to reinforce the values of Yeshivat Noam by enhancing the school’s Middot curriculum and by coordinating Chesed activities to be performed by students during, and by students and their families, outside of school hours. Some of the projects coordinated by the Middot/ Chesed Committee have included:
Visits with senior citizens at local nursing homes and other recreational facilities;
Pre-Chanukah Toy Drive for needy children;
Friendship Circle events with children with special needs;
Food drives to benefit needy families in Bergen County;
Delivery of Mishloach Manot to senior citizens;
Packaging of care packages for children waiting to be seen in the emergency room at a local hospital.
In addition, the Middot/ Chesed Committee prepares the Middot Matters column for the weekly Darchei Noam newsletters and designates the recipients of the Tzedakah moneys collected in the classrooms.
The Middot/ Chesed Committee is constantly seeking new ideas and values the input, ideas and involvement of its members.
